Retired Lt. Commander U.S.N. Joseph Francis Ksenzak, 76, of Ladson entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 12that a local hospital. Born in Connellsville, PA to the late Steven Cyril and Susan Ondik Ksenzak, Mr. Ksenzak retired from the United States Navy as a Lt. Commander after 23 years of services, serving in the Korean Conflict and WWII. He was a graduate of St. Phillips High School in Chicago, Illinois, received his bachelor degree from the Charleston Southern Baptist College, and his masters from The Citadel. Mr. Ksenzak was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, a 4thdegree knight in the Knights of Columbus 6726 Assembly 1900 Summerville, and a member of the Retired Officers Association. His wife of 20years, Anne M. Ksenzak, predeceased him. Surviving Mr. Ksenzak is his daughter, Catherine M. Ksenzak, two sons, Mark S. Ksenzak, and Ralph C. Ksenzak all of Charleston. Also surviving Mr. Ksenzak is his granddaughter, Sara C. Ksenzak of Charleston, and two step-granddaughters, Jamie R. Cook, and Katie A. Cook of Clemmons, NC. The family will receive friends 6-8PM Friday, February 14thwith a Rosary Prayer Service beginning at 7PM at McALISTER-SMITH DOWNTOWN CHAPEL. Funeral Services will be 10AM Saturday, February 15that Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment with full Military Honors will be at 3PM in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Laurens, SC.
