Mr. Jonathan Robert Lee, 23, a resident of Chocowinity, died Nov. 18, 2015 in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
A funeral service will be held at First Church of Christ 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, 2015 and will be officiated by Pastor Mike Register.
Mr. Jonathan was born in Pitt County on May 5, 1992 to Robert Edward Lee and Linda Register Lee. He attended Hargrave Military Academy as a Cadet in Bravo Company and graduated. While attending Hargrave Military Academy, Jonathan lettered and was a captain of his football and baseball teams. He won the Colin Powell Leadership Medal as Cadet First Lieutenant and the Patrick Henry Patriotism Award along with various other awards during his attendance. Jonathan then studied at The Citadel of South Carolina where he was a Cadet in Echo Company. After two years at The Citadel, Jonathan went to work for TowerCom Inc. where he worked for 14 months. Jonathan also enjoyed other hobbies such as fishing, reading, golf, and video games.
Survivors include his parents Robert E “Bob” Lee and Linda Register Lee; two brothers Jason E. Lee and wife Dawn of Winterville, Greg M. Lee of Blounts Creek; one sister Karianne Cumming of Casper, Wyo.; four nieces and nephews, Tyler, Amber Wesley Cummings, Tyde Lee; one uncle, Randy Register and wife Dawn; one Aunt Gwenda Bland and husband Ron Winstead; and a faithful companion Rocco.
The family will receive friends from 5-8:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.
