Jon Carter Howell, 37, husband of Stacey Kathryn Williams Howell of Mt. Pleasant, SC, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2008. The relatives and friends of Jon Howell are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at the Summerall Chapel at The Citadel at 10:00 a.m. The burial will be private. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 30, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Mr. Howell was born March 19, 1971 in Tucson, Arizona, son of Doris Gaye Pate Caddell and the late Carter Avery Howell. He graduated from The Citadel in 1994 and was a self-employed contracting carpenter with Meadors Construction Company. He was a private and commercial pilot and flight instructor and also loved to play soccer, go fishing and hunting. He is survived by his wife, Stacey Williams Howell of Mt. Pleasant, SC, a son, Sidney Carter Howell of Mt. Pleasant, SC; his mother, Gaye Caddell of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two brothers, Scott Caddell of James Island, SC and Scooter Caddell of James Island, SC; a sister, Lisa Bovee and husband, Larry, and family of Presque Isle, MI; grandmothers, Mrs. Berte Dean Howell of Fayetteville, NC and Doris W. Pate of Mt. Pleasant, SC. He was preceded in death by his father, Carter A. Howell, his step-father, Edward J. Caddell, and his grandfathers, N.
