John Wesley Conley III, of Orlando, Fla., 76 years of age, passed away at his home with his family by his side on March 26, 2012. Johnie was born in Titusville, FL to Johnie, Jr. and Ruby Marie Conley. He was a 6th generation Floridian whose ancestor came to Florida as a missionary in 1835. Johnie was in the first graduating class of Edgewater High School and was Co-Captain of the Edgewater High School football team. He was a class of ’57 Citadel graduate. Johnie is survived by his loving family, wife, Glenda Maureen Conley, of 53 years, Oviedo; son, Johnie Conley IV (Vivian); son, Randall Conley (Andrea), St. Petersburg, FL; daughter, Lisa Dietrich (Mark), Chuluota, FL; sister, Joyce Deschenes, Jacksonville, FL; five grandchildren, Cole Dietrich, Corey Dietrich, Kelsie Conley, Shannon Conley, Savanna Conley; and his dog Molly. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends at the Collison Family Funeral Home (Howell Branch Chapel) on Thursday, March 29 from 5 to 7 p.m. A Celebration of Johnie’s life will be held on Friday, March 30 at the First United Methodist Church of Oviedo (Historic Sanctuary) at 1 p.m. with a reception to follow at the family home.
