John Thomas Bragg 88, of Hoschton GA passed away peacefully at home on April 23, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was born on May 9, 1931 in Greentop Missouri. He grew up in Decatur GA and remained in the Atlanta area for most of his life. He enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy on the destroyer the USS Jeffers during the Korean conflict. John attended The Citadel, Oglethorpe, and Emory universities. He owned and operated his own dental laboratory for over 50 years. He was a fifty year member of Certified Dental Technician Association, and also served as president of the Southeastern Conference of the Association. John was a very passionate and loving man. His biggest passion was his love for his family. John also enjoyed his hobbies which included building and driving fast cars and fast boats. He also was a wonderful storyteller and brought life and magic to his stories. John also served as a father figure and inspired several young people that entered into his life. He left no stone unturned and lived his life to the fullest every day. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle. He was the son of Dr. Thomas T. Bragg and Maxine Young Bragg. He is survived by, his wife Linda Bragg, brothers Phillip and Tim Bragg, his children Tommy Bragg (Susan), Carrie Gerrity (Joe), and Marshall Bragg. John had five grandchildren, Shea, Kelsey, Brady, Devin and Skyler and two great grandchildren, Rylee and Ari. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society P.O.
