John Norris Casselberry, 66, passed away on July 15, 2019, at his home in Casselberry, FL. Son of the city’s founder Hibbard Casselberry and his wife Martha Norris, he was born on October 13, 1952. He graduated from the Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina, and was a member of its elite drill unit, the Summerall Guards. His greatest passions were flying, history, and public affairs.

John is survived by his sister Lilian Carroll and her husband Ray, sister-in-laws Jane Casselberry and Martha Thomas Casselberry, his niece Darlene Van Meter Blair and her husband Richard, nephews and their wives: Nathan and Ana Van Meter & Casey Dickson and Yadi Caro and their families.

Visitation will be at 1 pm on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at the Community United Methodist Church, 4921 S Highway 17/92. Service will be at 2 pm, and interment at All Faiths Memorial Park, Casselberry. In lieu of flowers please donate to Casselberry Friends of the Park or Christian HELP, Casselberry, FL.
