Lt. Col. John Wilson, USAF, Ret., of Key West, died peacefully on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at the age of 73 due to complications from lymphoma. He was born in New York, NY, in 1940 to the late Albert and Isabella Wilson. John graduated from The Citadel in 1961 and served in the Air Force for 23 years, retiring as a lieutenant colonel in 1985. He retired to Key West in 1990. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Donna Brown of Key West; three sons, John Wilson, Jr. of Charlotte, NC, David Wilson of Charleston, SC, and Dean Brown of Key West; brother Kenneth Wilson (Laura) of Montville, NJ, and sister Victoria Wilson of Kinnelon, NJ. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, at the Veterans of Foreign Wars post 3911, N. Roosevelt Blvd., Key West.
