John Henry Kelley WINSTON-SALEM – John Henry Kelley, 81, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2008, at Salemtowne Healthcare and Nursing Facility. The son of Gordon Randolph Kelley and Mary Lineberry Kelley, he was born in Winston-Salem on April 11, 1927. John was General Manager of Massey Motor Company, Kinston, N.C. and later he was the owner of Keltec Energy Management Company in Winston-Salem. He attended Reynolds High School and graduated from the Citadel in Charleston, S.C. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 7, 2008, at Salem Moravian Graveyard by Dr. Gerald R. Harris. The family will receive friends after the service in the Ladies Parlor of Home Moravian Church, 529 S. Church Street, Winston-Salem, NC. Survivors include two sons, John Edward Kelley of Matthews, N.C. and Gordon Randolph Kelley, II and wife Molly, of Kinston, N.C.; a sister, Mary Joe Hanes and husband William P. Hanes; and four grandchildren, Joseph Kelley, Ruth Kelley, Ryan Kelley and Cross Kelley. Special thanks to a very dear friend, Betty Dize.
