John E. Piro, 80, of North Syracuse, NY, died Friday at home Mr. Piro was born in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Heinrich and Alma Schroeder Piro. Mr. Piro married Elizabeth Mollineaux on December 29, 1946, in Hempstead, LI. He served in theski troops of the 10th Mountain Division during WWII. He was a manufacturing rep for JP Associates. Mr. Piro was a 1949 graduate of The Citadel, Charleston, SC, and a member of Andrews Memorial United Methodist Church for 51 years and a trustee and choir member for many years. He was a 32-degree Mason, member of Centerville Lodge, for many years. He coached for many years at the Taft Rd. Little League and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth; one daughter, Nancy Fullmer of GA; one son, Jeff Piro of Saratoga Springs, NY; one brother, Henry Whitey Pirro of OR; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the Andrews Memorial United Methodist Church, North Syracuse, with the Rev. Brad Hunt officiating.
