John C. Pressick, 71, of Clarendon Hills, Ill. and formerly of Lorain, died unexpectedly Thursday. Born in Lorain, he graduated from Lorain High School and The Citadel. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. Mr. Pressick was a retired corn research chemist for Best Foods. Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Boone of Clarendon Hills; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; his parents, John and Dorothy (nee Clark) Pressick; a sister Joann Pressick Craig; and a half-brother, Joseph Hardy. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain. The Rev. Dale Warrick, pastor of Cornerstone United Methodist Church, will officiate.
