John Brette Kruse, of Charleston, entered into eternal rest on the morning of January 5, 2010, John Brette Kruse, husband of Mary Goblet Kruse. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. John Brette Kruse are invited to attend the funeral services of the former, Friday, January 8, 2010 at two o’clock at the graveside in Live Oak Cemetery, Walterboro, SC. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR,INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL Thursday between five and seven o’clock. Mr. Kruse was born March 22, 1932 in New Orleans, LA, the son of Joseph Marion Kruse and Marion Moody Kruse. He was a graduate of The Citadel Class of 1954 and a retired Colonel with the U.S. Army Reserves. Mr. Kruse retired after thirty-two years with the Charleston Naval Shipyard as a Supervisory Naval Architect. He was a member of The Elks Lodge and The Charleston Rifle Club. He is survived by his wife of Charleston, SC; one daughter: Harriet L. Kruse Bevil and her husband Brent of Charleston, SC; one sister: Marienne Germaine K.
