Jimmie Ray Stowe, 85, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Shirley Mae Downs Stowe entered into eternal rest Sunday, January 20, 2019. The family will receive friends in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 26, 2019 in Stuhr’s West Ashley Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens.
Jimmie was born November 23, 1933 in Belton, South Carolina, son of the late Raymond Haskell Stowe and Clara Hand Stowe. He was a graduate of The Citadel, Class of 1957. Jimmie was a retired civil service electrical engineer and was also a former mason and former member of the Elks Lodge. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley Mae Stowe of Charleston, SC, two daughters, Tammy Stowe Owsley (Adam) of Charleston, SC, Kimberly Stowe of Columbia, SC, two grandchildren, Victoria Owsley, and Erica Fowler.
