Jeffrey Owen Williams, 68, of Cornelius, N.C., peacefully passed away on July 18, 2023. Jeff was born in Okinawa, Japan on March 15,1955, where his father the late Judge Owen Edgar Williams Jr. was stationed while serving in the Army under the JAGS Corp.
Jeff lived an amazing life growing up on the water in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He learned to sail, was a Boy Scout, and the best big brother to his sister, PJ and his brother, John. After graduating high school, Jeff decided to spread his wings by moving to Charleston, South Carolina to get his BS in Business at The Citadel- The Military College of South Carolina. While at the Citadel he met his future bride, Kathy, through mutual friends. Upon graduation, Jeff became an officer in the Army where he served for 12 years. Upon leaving the military with an honorable discharge, he transitioned into civilian life.
Jeff thoroughly enjoyed living and traveling around the world. However, his greatest love in life was spending time with his family. He was always there to lift up and encourage his soul mate and love of his life Kathy. He provided continuous support and guidance for his daughter Joy. He also thoroughly enjoyed picking up his granddaughters from school and taking them for ice cream.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Katherine Crocker Williams; daughter, Joy Williams McDaniel; granddaughters, Taylor and Avery McDaniel; mother, Josephine Williams; sister, Pamela Jo Parker (Michel); and brother, John B Williams (Jaye).
