Jane Elizabeth Byrom, 75, of Hanahan, SC, died Wednesday, May 12, 2010, in the Hospice Center of Mt. Pleasant, SC. Born December 28, 1934, in Hope, AR she was one of two children of Wallace R. Rogers and Mary A. Westmoreland Rogers. She earned her undergraduate degree at Baylor University and a Master’s Degree from The Citadel. She was a member of Remount Baptist for 41 years and taught Sunday School. Mrs. Byrom began her teaching career at Remount Baptist Church School and later taught at Citadel Square Baptist Church School. She retired from the Berkeley County Public School System having taught at Hanahan Middle School for many years. During retirement she continued to substitute teach. Mrs. Byrom is survived by her son, James W. Byrom of Cornelia, GA and his children, Ben Byrom of Raleigh, NC and Abbie Byrom of New York, NY; daughter Dru Lutinski and her husband Hunter and their children, Katherine, Sophia and Victoria of Stafford, VA; sister, Ann Hauft of Merritt Island, FL; nieces, Donee Attaway of Orlando, FL and Robin Leftwich of Jacksonville, FL. The memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 15, 2010, at Remount Baptist Church, 1520 Remount Road., North Charleston, SC 29406. Arrangements by J.
