James Wilson Reed (Jimmy), of Mount Pleasant, died from pancreatic cancer on September 7, 2026.
He graduated from The Citadel in 1966 and served two years in the Army in Taegu, Korea as a Signal Officer. On his return to Orlando, Fl he began a career in banking and became founder and CEO of Orange Bank.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Mary, of 52 years. Daughter, Sarah Haugen (Kurt); grandchildren, Cole and Gracelyn Haugen of Hudson, WI; and sisters, Betty Kendall and Peggy Mann of Orlando, Fl. He is also survived by nieces, Ashley Miller, and Kathy Jackson and nephews, David Kendall, and Chris Hopkins.
His family wishes to thank Agape Hospice and Right at Home for the love and care Jimmy received during his illness.
At Jimmy’s request, no funeral service will be held. He will be interred in Orlando, FL at a later date.
