Lt Col James R. (Jay) Beam, USAF, Ret., of Daniel Island, died Sept. 27, 2018. Beam joined The Citadel in 2014 as the Director of Facilities Operations. In 2016, he was selected, after a nation-wide search, to be the Associate Vice President for Facilities & Engineering.
