James Frank “Jim” Criddle, Sr., 89, of Bonneau, SC, a retired inspection department head for Polaris Missle Facility Atlantic, died Tuesday morning at the Hospice of Charleston Hospice Center.His funeral will be 12:00 Noon this Friday, November 20, 2015, in the CHAPEL OF DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM in the St. George Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:30 AM until the hour of service Friday.Mr. Criddle was born March 10, 1926, in Miami FL, a son of James Madison Criddle and Elise Jackson Criddle. He was of the Christian faith and was an Army Air Force veteran of WWII. Mr. Criddle earned a BS in electrical engineering from the Citadel in 1959 and previously worked as base manager for Lockheed Missles and Space Company, where during his tenure he received the National Management Associations Silver Knight Award. He was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanette Webber Criddle, a brother, George Taylor Criddle, and his wife of 63 years, Wanda Hoge Criddle.Surviving are, a son, James F. Criddle, Jr., of Hanahan; and two grandchildren, Brooke Criddle and Nikki C.
