James E. Donaher of Marshfield, Mass., formerly of Weymouth, passed away peacefully at home, August 12, 2015. Beloved husband for 61 years to the late Mary Louise (Yarrison) Donaher. Loving father of James Donaher, II and his wife Gina of Walpole and Michael J. Donaher and his wife Diane of Abington. Cherished grandfather of J.P., Julianna, Melissa, Michael and Meghan. James proudly served his country in US Navy during the WWII. James worked for 30 years as a safety engineer for Commercial Union Assurance Company. He was a long time member of the Weymouth Historical Society. James loved reading especially about current events in the news. He was kind hearted and loved to socialize with his friends. He loved to meet new people and was fascinated by each story shared with him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2 – 6 p.m. in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, East Weymouth, at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles and Middle Street). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 a.m. on Monday prior to the funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10 a.m. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne TBD.
