James Buell Randall Born July 10, 1967 in Alexandria, VA, died Wednesday, August 18, 2004 in the Chester County Hospital, West Chester, PA. James graduated from Lake Braddock Secondary School in Burke, VA and graduated from The Citadel in Charleston, SC in 1989. Upon graduation he was commissioned in the United States Marine Corps and served in the Gulf War in 1991. He received an intra service transfer to the United States Navy in 1993, graduated from BUDS (Navy SEALS) IN August 1994, and served with SEAL TEAM 8. He served in Bosnia where he received several military honors. James received the following service awards: National Defense Service Medal, Naval Special Warfare Officer, Armed Forces Service Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal (Kuwait), Southeast Asia Service Award Medal (2), Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3), Navy Unit Commendation (2), Expert Military Free Fall Parachutist Course, SEAL Diving Supervisor, Naval Special Warfare SEAL Tactical Training, Underwater Demolition Team/SEAL. James is survived by his wife, Traci Randall; his children, Thomas, Jenna, Keely, Kirby, Jamie and Mackenzie; his mother, Claire Randall; his father and step-mother, George and Karen Randall, and his sister, Kate. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, at 12 noon on Tuesday, August 24, 2004, where friends may call in the church from 10-11:30 am. Burial with Military honors will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, DE. The family requests that flowers not be sent. Contributions in memory of James may be sent to the Randall Childrens Memorial Fund, c/o Navy Federal Credit Union, 1445 Brace Road, Suite F., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
