Jacob (Jack) Hutter, of Knoxville, TN, age 84, passed away at his home on August 3, 2014. Jack, born in Great Neck, NY, graduated from the Citadel at 19 years of age, and then served his country as an Air Force pilot. Mr. Hutter was retired from Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance after a distinguished, award-winning career. Jack had an infectious zest for life, which he shared with those around him. He traveled extensively, living for several years in both Greece and Switzerland, and enjoyed life to the fullest. He will be greatly missed. Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Lillian Hutter; and his brothers, Paul and Albert. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda; his daughter, Robin; and his sons, Andy, Nathan, Sebastian, and Chris; as well as two grandchildren and many other family members. Lastly, Jack is survived by his grandmother who still spends most days backpacking along the Larapinta Trail in Alice Springs, NT, Australia. A celebration of Jack’s life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to “Friends of the Smokies” at PO Box 1660, Kodak TN, 37764-7660.
