Hubert Barclay Belk, 86, of 150 Downs Blvd., died Oct. 4, 2003 at Oconee Memorial Hospital, Seneca, S.C. He was a native of Fayetteville, N.C., son of the late Olin and Sybil McLean Belk. MEMORIAL SERVICE: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Chapel of First Presbyterian Church, Gastonia INTERMENT: Private He was a graduate of Gastonia High School and attended The Citadel in Charleston, S.C. Hubert was a jeweler and co-owner with his father of O.B. Belk Jewelry . He was a charter member of the Gastonia Elks Lodge, a past Exalted Ruler of the lodge and until his death was the lodge s oldest living member. Hubert served in the N.C. National Guard and was a member of the Civil Air Patrol. He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels in Gastonia and served on the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army. Hubert was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Gastonia, N.C. and an affiliate member of the Fort Hills Presbyterian Church, Clemson, S.C. SURVIVORS: Wife of 61 years, Rosalyn C.
