ANDERSON, Henry Entered into eternal rest on the evening of March 2, 2008, Henry Miller Anderson, husband of Martha Mills Anderson. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Miller Anderson are invited to attend the funeral services of the former, Thursday, March 6, 2008 at eleven o’clock in First (Scots) Presbyterian Church. Interment, Magnolia Cemetery. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL Wednesday between five and seven o’clock. Henry was born September 7, 1922, in Charleston, SC, the son of Samuel Pickens Anderson and Jane Miller Anderson. He was a graduate of the High School of Charleston, The Citadel in 1943, served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps, was a member and Past President of the Lion’s Club of Charleston, retired from Wm. M. Bird and Company, served on the Charleston County School Board, coached the College of Charleston Basketball Team 1946-1948. He served on the Board of Trustees of The Baptist College (currently Charleston Southern University), was a past president of Allpro Corp. and a member of St. Andrew’s Society and The Country Club of Charleston. He is survived by his wife of Charleston, SC; one son: Henry M. Andy Anderson, Jr. (Carolyn) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two daughters: Claudia A. Phillipps (Bill) of Charleston, SC and Laura A. Moseley (Rod) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one sister: Jane A. Wilbur of Martha’s Vineyard, MA; seven grandchildren: Katharine, Morgan, Laura, Sarah, Reagan, Marianne and Miller; four great grandchildren: Lee, Reeves, William, and Bennett.
