Henry Charles Frech III, 71, of Savannah, Ga., died Wednesday, February 01, 2012 at Hospice House of Savannah. The 1962 graduate of Citadel, served in the 117th Air National Guard. He was a member of The First Baptist Church of Savannah, having served both as a Deacon and on various committees. He was a member of the Savannah Yacht Club, and served as a board member for six years, including four years as treasurer. He was a member of The German Heritage Society, where he was the youngest charter member and served as President from 1992 until 1994 he also served as treasurer for almost 40 years. He was a member of the German Friendly Society, Georgia Society of CPA’s and American Institute of CPA’s. In 1979, he began private practice as a CPA in Savannah, moving to Oglethorpe Professional Court in 1984. Surviving are his wife, Ann Magruder Frech of Savannah; two sons, Michael Kevin Frech and Paul Christopher Frech, both of Flowery Branch, GA; his sister, Irma St. John of Birmingham, AL; a grandson, Corbin M. Frech; two granddaughters, Ansley S. and Gabbie Frech. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday, 2:00 p.m. at The First Baptist Church of Savannah, with burial in Hillcrest Abbey East Memorial Park.
