Harold Richard Gault Sr., 85, of Spartanburg, died Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born March 13, 1928, in Union, SC, he was the son of the late James Oliver and Fannie May Crosby Gault and husband of the late Dorothy Virginia Coleman Gault. A graduate of the Citadel Class of 1950, Mr. Gault was the managing general agent and consultant for Johnson & Johnson Insurance Agency of Charleston, SC. He was a member of Morningside Baptist Church in Spartanburg, Union Masonic Lodge #75 for 63 1/2 years, The Sons of the American Revolution, and also a member of the R.O.M.E.O. Club. Survivors include his daughters, Deborah Dianne Gault of Spartanburg, SC, and Pamela Gault Buchanan (Jack) of Boiling Springs, NC; son, Harold Richard Gault Jr. (Judy) of Signal Mountain, TN; and grandchildren, Jeffrey Mason, Crosby Mason, Justin Buchanan, Sam Gault, Ruthie Gault, and Henry Gault. In addition to his parents and wife, he is predeceased by five brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be 1:00-2:15 PM Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Morningside Baptist Church Welcome Center. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 PM, at the church, conducted by the Rev. Kirk H. Neely. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Union, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at their respective homes.
