Gloria Kornahrens Jumper, of Hanahan, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother entered into eternal rest on May 15, 2013 at her residence in Hanahan. She was born on August 30, 1935 in Charleston, SC to John W. Stevens Jr. of and Genevieve Murray both of Charleston. Her brother John W. (Billy) Stevens III predeceased her. She was married to Jack W. Kornahrens Sr. (deceased) for 35 years. Lastly to William Jumper. She graduated from the Baptist College at Charleston and obtained a Masters Degree in Education for the Citadel. She was a school teacher in the Berkeley and Charleston School Districts for more than 30 years. Her passion was teaching and dancing especially Shag dancing. She was a long time member of the Charleston Shag Club. She is survived by her two sons Jack W. Kornahrens Jr. (Terry) of North Charleston and David M. Kornahrens Sr. (Patrice) of Moncks Corner. Seven grandchildren, Jennifer Kornahrens of North Charleston, Whitney Kornahrens of North Charleston, David M. Kornahrens Jr. (Calie)of Hanahan, Blade Kornahrens of Monks Corner, George T. Brodish of Hanahan, Joseph C. Brodish of Moncks Corner, Amanda B. Smith(Daniel) of Summerville and three great-grandchildren Adler J. Voorhees, Kaelyn E. Brodish and Holden M. Kornahrens. A memorial celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday May 21, 2013 at 1130 AM at CAROLINA MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME.
