Daniel Inabinet and the Rev. Denley Caughman, officiating. Burial will follow in Terrells Bay Cemetery, directed by Smith-Collins Funeral Home of Marion.Dr. Cox was born March 12, 1933, in Pamplico, a son of the late George Franklin Cox and the late Addie Finklea Cox. He was a physician. Dr. Cox was a 1955 graduate of The Citadel and graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1958. He served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. Dr. Cox was a member of Marion Baptist Church.Surviving Dr. Cox, in addition to his wife of the home, are three sons, Leo Cameron Cam Cox of Marion, Coleman Cox and his wife, Sherry, of Charlotte, N.C., and Frank Cox of Boone, N.C.; two daughters, Nancy Cochrane and her husband, Jeff, of Charlotte, N.C., and Lisa Jameson and her husband, Larry, of Campobello; and six grandchildren.Dr. Cox was predeceased by a brother, Larry Cox.Memorials may be made to Terrells Bay Cemetery Fund, 2047 Hwy. 9, Marion, SC 29571.Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Smith-Collins Funeral Home.
