Bud Pendergrass GREENWOOD — Mr. George Edward Bud Pendergrass, 74, of 113 Crestmont Drive, died Wednesday, July 5, 2006. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Main Street United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Edgewood Cemetery. Mr. Pendergrass was a graduate of Greenwood High School and The Citadel. He was retired as a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force, having flown combat missions in Vietnam and serving as an aerospace physiologist. He operated the family clothing business and was a lifelong Boy Scout, obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout and receiving the Silver Beaver Award. He also served in various capacities in the district and council level of Scouting. Surviving are his wife, Ann Ray Pendergrass; his son, Jay Pendergrass of Greenwood; his daughter, Carol P. Bennett of Rock Hill; and two grandsons. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Blyth Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Main Street United Methodist Church, 211 N.
