DRIVER, Gene Chief Master Sgt. Gene A. Driver, US Air Force, Ret., 69, of Bonneau, SC, a retired load master, died Wednesday morning in the Hospice of Charleston Hospice Center. The funeral will be 11:00 AM Saturday morning, June 30, 2007 in the CHAPEL OF DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. Interment will be 1:00 PM Tuesday afternoon, July 3, 2007, in the Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson, NC, with military honors. Friends may call at Dial-Murray Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM this Friday evening, and at the Joyner’s Funeral Home in Wilson, NC, from 11:30 until 12:30 on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Hospice of Charleston Hospice Center, 3870 Leeds Ave., Ste. 101, Charleston, SC 29405. Mr. Driver was born Nov. 5, 1937, in Wilson, NC, a son of Paul Dickerson Driver and Rosa Lee Rice Driver. He was a retired certified public accountant, former owner and operator of all the Subway restaurants in Moncks Corner, SC, and a veteran of Vietnam. He was a graduate of The Citadel and a member of The Citadel Alumni Association. Mr. Driver was a 32nd Degree Mason, a Shriner, and a member of the Scottish Rite. He was of the Presbyterian faith.
