Minardi – Charleston,WV Date of Death: 03/13/2007 Notice Franklin Joseph Minardi Franklin Joseph Minardi, 64, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2007, in Highland Park, Ill., after a long illness. Frank was born on September 18, 1942 in Charleston, W.Va. He was a 1960 graduate of Charleston Catholic High School and a 1964 graduate of The Citadel, Charleston, S.C. Upon graduating from The Citadel, Frank began a distinguished career in the United States Air Force. Frank earned the rank of major and proudly served his country for 21 years, including several overseas assignments. After retiring from the Air Force, Frank joined American Protective Services as a manager in St. Louis, Mo. He recently moved to Highland Park in order to be closer to his daughter. Above all else, Frank loved his family. He always enjoyed coming home to Charleston for the holidays, where he could savor Aunt Mary’s spaghetti sauce and meatballs, listen to Sam boast about his latest gadget, and tell stories about his wonder years in Charleston and his adventures in the military. Surviving are his father, Steve Hydock of Charleston; daughter, Debbie Anguizola and son-in-law, Robert Anguizola, of Highland Park, Ill.; brother, Sam Minardi and his wife, Barbara, of Charleston; brother, Steve Hydock II and his wife, Janice, of Winfield; and grandsons, Robby Anguizola and Marco Anguizola of Highland Park, Ill. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 17, at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home & Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
