Frank W. Ingram, Jr., of Birmingham, AL, died December 26, 2011 due to complications with myelodysplasia. He was born in Miami, FL on October 6, 1939 to Alice Snyder Ingram and Frank Wier Ingram. At the age of thirteen he moved with his family to Birmingham where he attended Mountain Brook schools and graduated high school at Marion Institute. Following in his father’s footsteps he attended college at The Citadel. Upon graduation he enlisted in the United States Army, married and became a father. In 1984 he began a new phase of his life when he remarried. With that union came a son and another daughter.His life long career was in sales in which he excelled. He was a faithful member of Valleydale Church and his Life Connection Class. His passions included mission work, Auburn football, traveling, friendships and his weimaraner, Pearl.Frank was predeceased by both his parents and his son, John Cecil Patterson, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Crew Ingram; his daughters, Kelly Ingram Conklin and Camille Patterson Elliott; son-in-law Paul Murphy Elliott; his four grandchildren, Jon Ingram Staggs, Jr., Lauren Elizabeth Conklin, Jordan Camille Staggs and Jessica Lynn Conklin; his sister Louise Ingram Glass, brother-in-law Roy Percy Glass; sisters-in law, Sue Crew Mims and Myrna Crew Scott, brother-in-law Penn Scott III; nieces, nephews and many friends. He will be missed by all.Family will receive friends Wednesday, December 28 at Southern Heritage from 11:00 to 1:00 with a celebration of his life immediately following. His wish was no flowers.
