Frank Gaetano, age 70 a longtime resident of Pleasant Valley, NY, died Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. Frank was born November 18, 1942 in Elizabeth, NJ. Frank was the son of the late Gaetano Gaetano and the late Mary (Zadari) Gaetano. He married Diana B. Gaetano on March 29, 1969 in Troy, NY. Frank graduated from the Bordentown Military Academy, Bordentown, NJ and went on to graduate from The Citadel Charleston, S.C. in 1964. He was a Vietnam veteran receiving an honorable discharge from active duty in 1975. He continued his military service as a Major in the Army Reserves for another 9 years. He worked as a mail carrier in Troy, NY. He was the administrative officer for the Franklin Delanor Roosevelt Library in Hyde Park from 1976 to 2003. He worked for H&R Block as a tax preparer and office manager for several years. He was last employed as a census taker in 2010. Frank was an Eagle Scout and was also a Boy Scout leader. Frank also loved to dance, sing karaoke, stay up all night playing games on the internet and going to visit casinos. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Hyde Park. In addition to his wife, Frank is survived by his brothers and sisters: Dominick Gaetano of Colonial, NJ, Anthony Gaetano and his wife Sally of Clark, NJ, Catherine Maccio of Manahawkin, NJ, and Dorothy Grand and her husband Barry of Toms River, NJ. His aunt Antoinette Kizima of Roselle Park, NJ, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
