Frank Bethea David, Jr., 81, died Monday, November 23, 2009 at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at Main Street United Methodist Church with burial in Riverside Cemetery, directed by Kannaday Funeral Home. Mr. David was born March 7, 1928 in Dillon County a son of the late Frank Bethea David and Mattie Hamer David. He owned an accounting firm in Dillon for over 50 years. Mr. David served in the Korean War and was stationed in Germany, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel after 23 years of service to the U.S. Army and S.C. National Guard. He was a Shriner and member of Mackey Lodge; was a member and Past President of the Dillon Lions Club; was the Treasurer of the Twin Lakes Country Club for 40 years; was a member of the S.C. Public Accountants Association and of the National Society of Public Accountants for over 50 years; was a member of the S.C. Tax Council and an Enrolled Agent with the IRS; was a member of the Dillon County Chamber of Commerce as well as being a member of Main Street United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Peggy Wright David of the home; 2 sons, Frank B. (Carol) David, III, of Greenville, NC and James Wright (Stephanie) David of Dillon, SC; 4 grandchildren, Quint David, Lindsay David, Jessica David and Jake David. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all whose lives he touched. Memorials may be made to Main Street United Methodist Church, P.O.
