Francis Price Jr. PRICE, JR., Francis COLUMBIA – Graveside service, with full military honors, for Maj. Francis F. Fick Price, Jr., 84, will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Citadel Fund, 171 Moultrie Street, Charleston, SC 29049, or to a charity of one’s choice. Major Price, husband of the late Mary Stephenson Price, died Tuesday, August 23, 2005. Born in Walterboro, he was the son of Francis F. Price, Sr., and Christine Johnson Price. A graduate of Walterboro High School and The Citadel, class of 1942, Maj. Price retired from the U. S. Army in 1964 after 22 years of service. He was a member of American Legion Post 6; VFW Post 641; Military Officers of America; and the Columbia, Charleston, and Upstate Chapters of Military Order of the World Wars, in which he served as Chapter Commander, Region Commander, General Staff Officer, and General Staff Emeritus. He was awarded the highest individual honor of the Order, the Gold Patrick Henry Medal. Maj. Price is survived by daughters Diana Price Driggers and Amanda Price Chavis; sons Francis F.
