Eugene D’Ambrosio (EJ to family and Geno to his friends), 56, passed away on Sept. 24, 2011, after a brief fight with cancer. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Ave, Cranford, (www.grayfuneralhomes.com to offer condolences) on Thursday from 2 to 4 or 7 to 9 p.m., where the funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 30, 2011 followed by the Mass of the Resurrection at 9:30 a.m. in St. Michael Catholic Church, Cranford, N.J. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield.. Born in Queens, N.Y., Eugene lived in various states across the country, most recently in Mountainside, N.J. He had proudly attended The Citadel (Class of ’77) in Charleston, S.C., and served his country as a U.S. Marine. Most recently, Eugene worked as the global supply planning manager for Merck. He will be dearly missed. Eugene is survived by his two sons, Eugene (Geno) and Christopher (Chris), and his loving partner, Alice Kosowski. He is also survived by his father and mother, Eugene and Lucille D’Ambrosio of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and his sister, Diane D’Ambrosio, of Somerset, N.J.
