Margrave, Elmer* A Celebration of Life for Elmer Margrave, 85, who passed away Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, at his residence in Port Orange, will be held Monday at 6 p.m. at Crossroads Baptist Church, 1851 South Clyde Morris Blvd., Port Orange. Mr. Margrave was born in New York City and had been a resident of Orlando for 25 years before moving to Port Orange in January. An Army veteran, he proudly served his country during World War II where he was in the Normandy Invasion. After completing his tour of duty, he studied Political Science at The Citadel graduating in the class of 1949. Mr. Margrave continued to work for the U.S. Government as a management analyst with the Department of Defense at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. until his retirement in March of 1980. He enjoyed reading and keeping up with current health issues and research. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 55 years, Frances; sons, Steve, Orlando, and Randy, Daytona Beach; and eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Deborah Louise. The family request donations in his memory be made to The Arc of Volusia County, 100 Jimmy Huger Circle, Daytona Beach, FL 32120.
