E. Lanier Walker, 81 years, of Cincinnati, formerly of Pleasant Ridge passed away on Saturday January 11, 2014 at the Maple Knoll Village in Springdale. He was born in Haines City, Florida on December 25, 1932 to the late Inez and William T. Walker. He graduated from the Citadel Academy in 1958. Employed as a Cost Engineer for Procter and Gamble for 27 years. He was actively involved in the Boys Scouts of America as the District Commissioner and Scout leader for over 20 years. Member of Masonic chapter of Madisonville where he received 50 years recognition in 2010. He was active in his community with “Citizens on Patrol” and teaching computer classes at local schools. He loved music, reading, traveling and learning as he was a brilliant man in computer technology and a deep patriot of our country. Survived by his devoted and loving wife Dee Walker, Father to daughter Lorena (David), and son Brian. Step Father to Denise (Tom), Michael (Nancy), Deanne (Frank), Gayle, Lisa (Mike). A loving grandfather to: Nichole, Jessica, Brandan (Carrie), Stephanie, Donald (Heather), Anthony, Audrey, Brian (Amy), Michael. Great grandchildren: Ashton, Blake, Mya, Cole, Collin, Noah. Loving brother to Vivian Thompson and William T. Walker, and preceded in death by his brother J.D. Walker, uncle to several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, January 17th from 5:00 – 7:30PM at Thomas – Justin Memorial, 7500 Montgomery Rd. (45236) Kenwood. A Masonic Service will take place at 7:30PM as he was a member of over 50 years. Committal Service will be held Saturday, January 18 at 10:30AM at Gate of Heaven Chapel, 11000 Montgomery Rd. (45249).
