Douglas David Kugley, Sr. 69, of Tampa, Florida, formerly of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Kay Gibson Kugley, entered into eternal rest Friday, September 13, 2013. His Funeral Service will be held Thursday, September 19, 2013 in Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1157 Sam Rittenberg Boulevard at 1:00 p.m. Interment, Live Oak Cemetery, Walterboro. The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR, DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, 232 Calhoun Street, Wednesday, September 18, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Douglas was born February 18, 1944, in Charleston, SC, the son of Eugene E. Kugley and Dorothy Griffin Kugley. He was a graduate of The Citadel in 1966. Douglas was a Certified Public Accountant and a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the AICPA, The Coastal Chapter of SCACPA, Estate Planning Council of Charleston, The Lions Club of Charleston and the Association of Citadel Men. Douglas was Managing Partner of McKnight, Frampton CPA, Manager of the Ronald Motley Family Office. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Kay Gibson Kugley of Tampa, FL, a daughter, Katherine K. Walker and her husband, Kennan, of Maitland, FL, a son, Douglas D. Kugley, Jr. and his wife, Kimberly Apple, of Tampa, FL, three grandchildren, Reid Walker, Katie Walker and Brynley Kugley and a sister, Dorothy K. Drawdy of Acworth, GA.
