Douglas B. Miller age 32, passed away Nov. 18, 2011 in Charleston, S.C., after an extended illness. Doug was born Sept. 1, 1979 to Ed and Polly Miller. He graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas in 1997, the Citadel Military College of South Carolina in 2003 and Ohio Northern Law School in 2006. He then moved to Mt. Pleasant, S.C., to practice law with his Uncle Nat Benson and they formed the Benson-Miller Law Firm. Doug is preceded in death by his mother, Polly Benson Miller; grandparents, Nat and Maxine Benson; grandfather, Edward Miller; aunt, Barbara Spencer; step brother, Chuck Barkley. He is survived by his father, Ed Miller and step mother, Judith Miller and his son, Nathan Miller; grandmother, Phylis Miller; brothers and sisters, Marie (Paul) Burfield, Edward Miller, Col. Patrick (Julie) Miller, Suzanne (Steven) Dilley, Jennifer Wagner and Chris (Mike) Lombardo; step sisters, Nancy Carey, Diane (Rich) Makruski and LeeAnn (Dennis) Moore; 11 nieces and nephews; many aunts and uncles and friends.
