Donald Edward Lemmon, 90, of Aiken, died Thursday, October 17, 2013. A celebration of his life will take place on Friday, November 1, 2013 from 4-6 PM at the Green Boundary Club. Born in Washington, PA, Mr. Lemmon was the son of the late Edward and Mary Lemmon. He studied at The Citadel, Charleston, S.C., for three years prior to WWII. After serving in the infantry and as an Air Force officer, he returned to The Citadel where he received a B.S. degree in Business Administration in 1947. Mr. Lemmon also completed graduate work for the M.A. in Industrial Relations at the University of Pittsburgh. He was vice president of Koppers Co. in Pittsburgh P.A. Mr. Lemmon has served as president of the Pittsburgh Personnel Association; chairman of the Advisory Committee for Urban Youth Action; vice chairman of the Human Resources Develop-ment Council of the Chamber of Commerce; member of the Industrial Relations Commit-tee of the National Association of Manufacturers; vice president of the Pittsburgh Hearing and Speech Society; member of the Board of visitors of the School of General Studies of the University of Pittsburgh; consultant to the U.S. Air Force, and Seminar Leader for the American Medical Association, AAIM and NRMA. Mr. Lemmon was an avid golfer and will be remembered as a loving husband and father. Survivors include his wife, Kiki Lemmon; a daughter, Dana (Bill) Ethridge, Pittsburgh, PA; two grandchildren; David and Andrew Ethridge; and a cousin, Dr. Timothy (Martha) Adams.
