Dennis Lee Rebber, Sr., 71, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina passed away on Friday, May 7, 2010. The relatives and friends of Dennis Rebber are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Monday, May 10, 2010 in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at 3:00 PM. Private burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 10, 2010 at the church from 2:30 until time of the service. Dennis was born March 2, 1939 in Seymour, Indiana, son of the late Wilbur Rebber and Edna Lauster Rebber. He graduated from Seymour High School, earned a BA Degree from The Citadel in 1961, an MBA Degree from the University of South Carolina in 1967 and a PhD from the University of South Carolina in 1978. He served in the United States Army in Germany from 1961-1965 with the 11th Armored Cavalry. He worked with the GAO in Washington, DC. He taught accounting at the Citadel as an Associate Professor until his retirement. Denny was a member of the Charleston Evening Optimist Club where he served as Secretary and President. He was elected to Lt. Governor and Governor of the South Carolina District Optimist International. He was a member of the Benevolent Order of Elks, Citadel Brigadier Foundation and the Association of Citadel Alumni since 1973. Denny was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where he served as treasurer. He is survived by his three children, Kathleen Denise Daehn and Karen Lynn Hill, both of Mt. Pleasant, SC; Dennis Lee Rebber, Jr. of Columbus, GA., and their mother, Patricia Anne McNeill Rebber of Mt. Pleasant, SC; Fiance; Linda Sherry Martin of Mt. Pleasant, SC; Sister, Sondra Kay Taylor of Knoxville, TN; and six grandchildren, Charles Brian Daehn, Kristina LeAnne Daehn, Melissa Dawn Hill, Tyler McNeill Rebber, Alexandra Marie Rebber and Jackson Lee Rebber. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church “Property Improvement Fund”, 604 Pitt Street, Mt.
