Dennis H. Boggs, 82, a resident of Broken Arrow, Okla., passed peacefully with his family by his side on August 26, 2019 due to Parkinson complications. He was born September 14, 1936 to Chalmer and Lorena Boggs at McKendree, West Virginia. He served in the United States Marine Corp and worked at Phillips Petroleum for 36 years as a Lubricants Technical Specialist. Dennis enjoyed collecting Phillips Petroleum memorabilia and loved to travel with his wife, Joy in their motor home all over the United States. He became a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church in 2017. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.He was preceded in death by his parents, Chalmer and Lorena Boggs; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold and Virginia Pomfret and son, Dennis H. Boggs, Jr.Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Joy Boggs of the home; two sons, Dwayne Boggs and wife, Lisa of Ramona, OK and David Boggs of Solvang, CA; former daugther-in-law, Barbara Kuhlman and husband, Rick of Loveland, CO; sister, Connie Hill of Maume, OH; brother-in-law, Bob Pomfret and wife, Janis of Lenoir City, TN; aunt, Dorothy Ferrelli of Warwick, RI; grandchildren, Christina Jensen and husband, Rob of Las Vegas, NV; Cody Boggs and wife, Vickie of Firestone, CO; Stefanie Stoops and husband, Zakk of Collinsville, OK; Deanna Simonds and husband, Kerri of Atlanta, GA and Andrew Boggs of Victor, CO; twelve great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and great friends.Family will greet friends Sunday, September 1, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home.Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Broken Arrow.Military Honors will be conducted by the United States Marine Corp and the American Legion Post 308.In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made in Dennis’s name to the Parkinson’s Association of Oklahoma Chapter,www. apdaparkinson.org/ok or call 918-747-3747 or mail to Po Box 3113 Broken Arrow, OK 74013
