Daniel Robert Allen, 27, native of Greenville, passed away on March 31, 2019. He was the son of Robert Steven Allen and Mary Katharine Allen. Daniel graduated from Greenville Technical Charter High School in 2010 and attended the Greenville Fine Arts Center where he pursued his love of music. He followed that passion for music to Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee where he received a BA in Commercial Music Performance with guitar as his major instrument. He spent time after graduation recording and performing music with close friends and making wonderful memories. Daniel had a very compassionate nature, and all who knew him mentioned how kind and caring he was. This compassion and a desire to help others led him to pursue a graduate degree in school psychology at The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. He loved the outdoors, especially the mountains, often hiking or simply spending time in nature. Another one of his passions was traveling, taking special trips with both close friends and family. Daniel always found time to spend with his family, who will miss him greatly. Along with his parents, he is survived by his sister, Katharine Pace (Richard); his grandmother, Betty Seignious; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. There will be a memorial service Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Buncombe Street United Methodist Church, 200 Buncombe St, Greenville, SC 29601. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:45 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Music and Arts Department at Buncombe Street United Methodist Church or to the Pisgah Conservatory, 49 Pisgah HWY Suite 4, Pisgah Forest, NC 28768.
