Clinton Paul Oliver, Jr., 52, died Friday, April 21, 2006, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was a native of Tattnall County, and a graduate of Glennville High School and of The Citadel Military College in South Carolina. He was a member and a Deacon of Glennville First Baptist Church, and was employed by the Georgia Department of Corrections. He was preceded in death by a son, Clay Oliver. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Waters Oliver of Glennville; a son, Clint Oliver of Glennville; his parents, Clinton and Mary Frances Oliver of Glennville; sisters: Fran Doupe of Los Angeles, California; Julie Link of Carmel, Indiana; and Mary Ruth Ray of Glennville; brothers: Bert Oliver and Hamp Oliver of Glennville and David Oliver of Claxton; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 23, at Glennville First Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Keith Rustin and the Rev. Mike Britt. Burial was in Glennville City Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Mark Waters, Charley Waters, Al Randall, Will Perkins, Seth Oliver, and Justin Oliver. Honorary pallbearers were Deacons of Glennville First Baptist Church. Cobb Funeral Home of Glennville, Georgia, was in charge of the arrangements.
