Relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Zobel are invited to attend the funeral services of the former in Calvery Lutheran Church, Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at Two O’clock. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, Tuesday evening from Six until Eight O’clock. Chuck was born in Charleston, SC, March 1, 1957, the son of Robert Hampton Zobel and Margaret Teresa (Peggy) Waters Zobel. He was a self-employed contractor. Chuck was a member of Calvery Lutheran Church and a graduate of Middleton High School, where he played baseball and football. He was a scholarship baseball player at the Citadel, where he graduated class of 1980. He was an avid sportsman and supported his children in similar activities. Surviving are his parents- Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hampton Zobel, SR. of Wadmalaw Island, SC; his wife of Charleston, SC; 1 son- Travis Lee Zobel of Charleston, SC; 1 daughter- Allison Joye Zobel of Charleston, SC; 2 brothers- Robert H. Zobel, Jr. and Larry Zobel of Charleston, SC; 1 sister- Penny Massey of Charleston, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Citadel Brigadier Foundation, 171 Moultrie Street, Charleston, SC 29409.
