Charles Ted Bogle, Jr., 82, of Marietta, died Sunday, June 25, 2006. Service 3 pm, Wednesday, Marietta First Presbyterian Church, Rev. Dr. James O. Speed & Rev. John Wells officiating. Burial, Kennesaw Memorial Park, Marietta. Born in Dalton, GA. The son of Dora Melissa Edwards- descendant of Pioneer Cobb Josiah Edwards & Charles Kelley Bogle, Sr., Marietta High School graduate, attended Auburn University prior to military service, graduated from the Citadel in Charleston, S.C. Ted served as 1st Lt. in Corps of Engineers in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. Served first as deacon and then elder of First Presbyterian Church. Co-chaired with wife the presidency of Cobb Landmarks Society, state treasurer of Georgia Council of Trout Unlimited, founding charter member of Cohutta Chapter of Trout Unlimited where he received the Silver Trout Award for Distinguished Service and dedication to the enhancement, preservation, and restoration of cold water fisheries, and received the Russell Stephens award for conservation. Member of Rotary Club of Marietta, retired as co-owner of Cobb Hardware Company. Survivors, his wife, Estelle Elliott Bogle, Marietta; daughters, Kelley Bogle Peace, Atlanta Frances Elliott Bogle, Marietta; two grandsons, Elliott Emerson Peace, Henry Willingham Peace, three nieces.
