WALTERBORO – Charles Eugene Murray, 74, husband of Mildred Weathers Murray, died Thursday at Trident Medical Center in Charleston. Mr. Murray was born October 4, 1929 in Holly Hill, a son of the late Carlos E. Murray and Cora Hutto Murray. He was a retired insurance agent with State Farm Insurance in Greenville. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Walterboro and was a former member of Key West United Methodist Church in Key West, FL and Lee Road United Methodist Church in Greenville. He was a graduate of The Citadel, class of 1950 and was a Summeral Guard while a cadet. He was a Lieutenant in the Army during the Korean War. Survivors besides his wife, include: two sons, Michael Murray and wife Nancy and Doug Murray and wife Lori both of Walterboro and two grandchildren, Lauren and Dallas Murray also of Walterboro. Memorial services will be held at 2 PM Sunday in the chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 1 until 2 PM prior to the services at Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul St., Walterboro, SC Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice or to Target United Methodist Church, Holly Hill, SC
