Colonel Charles Brent Reger, USAF, Retired, husband of Mary D. Reger of Mt. Pleasant, SC passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2008. The Funeral Service for Colonel Reger will be Sunday, November 16, 2008 in The Summerall Chapel, The Citadel, at three o’clock. Inurnment with full military honors will follow in the Citadel Columbarium. The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL Thursday from 4:00 until 6:00 PM. Colonel Reger was born December 2, 1945 in Clarksburg, West Virginia, son of the late Marquis Brentwood Reger and Shirley Cashdollar Reger. He graduated from the Citadel in 1967 and later received his Masters in Business Administration from Texas State University, San Marcos, Texas. Following his retirement from the Air Force, he was Executive Assistant to several Presidents of The Citadel. His assignments included Panama of which he was most fond; Randolph Air Force Base, San Antonio, TX Langley Air Force Base, Hampton, VA and The Pentagon. He also enjoyed golf and tennis. Surviving are his wife, Mary D. Reger of Mt. Pleasant, SC; his brother, Larry Reger and his wife Susan of Franklin, TN; two daughters, Master Sergeant Mary Lewis and her husband Matt of Italy (currently reassigned to Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, TX), Marissa Wadlington and her husband Mark of Houston, TX; and grandchildren, Christopher, Malayna Lewis, Sam, Jack and Patrick Wadlington.
