Charles B Bagley, age 93, of Durham, NC, died December 10, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Chattanooga, TN on July 2, 1924 to the late Charles B. Bagley, Sr. and Florence Elder Bagley.
Charles received his formal Education at Baylor High School & The Citadel where he was a Letterman in Athletics. He later joined the United States Army and was a decorated veteran of World War II.
Charles was employed 35 years with Coca Cola Company. Starting as a route sales helper on a truck, and then working in production, advertising, & accounting. He later became executive VP & CEO of the Coca-Cola Bottling Company at Greensboro, covering bottling plants & distribution centers in N.C. & VA.
He also coached little league baseball & football. In retirement was an assistant football coach at Durham High School.
He was co-chairman of Score until the local chapter closed, then established Charles Bagley Services (CBS), counseling for small business. He also tutored middle school students at Githens Middle School.
While facing the journey through life, filled with a wonderful & loving wife, Jeanne M. Bagley. Five children Margaret Kelley (widowed), C. Houston Bagley, Wife Stacy, Davis T. Bagley, Mary W. Locker, Husband Keith, R. Scott Bagley, Wife Danielle.
Nine Grand Children Payton S. Bagley, H. Taylor Bagley, T. Davis (Deuce) Bagley, Charleigh G. Bagley, Braxton E. Bagley, Hunter K. Locker, Mason R. Locker, Gabrielle R. Bagley, & Eliza V. Bagley.
The family will receive friends from 11:00am-1:00pm at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service on Friday December 15, 2017.
A private graveside service will be held.
In addition to flowers, memorials may be made to the USO at PO Box 91443, Raleigh, NC 27675 in memory of Charles B Bagley years of service from 1943-1946.
