Brenda Bevis Lee, of Cornelius, NC, passed into eternal life on May 1, 2009, after a long and courageous battle against cancer with her mother and sister in attendance. Born October 12, 1963, in Charleston, SC, Brenda was the daughter of Bernard R. Bevis and Mary C. Bevis of Charleston, SC. She was a member of Saint Mark Catholic Church in Huntersville, NC. Brenda is survived by her husband, Mark Anderson Lee. She was a devoted and loving mother of her two sons, Mark Anderson Lee, Jr. (9) and Michael Joseph Lee (6). She is survived by her sister, Denise Bevis D’Angelo of Atlanta, GA and her brother, Bernard R. Bevis, Jr. of Charleston, SC, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Brenda graduated from Bishop England High School, earned her B.A. degree from the College of Charleston, and her Masters degree in education from the Citadel. She was a teacher with the Charlotte Mecklenburg school system and taught at Alexander Middle School. The funeral Mass was held Monday, May 4, 2009, at Saint Mark Catholic Church in Huntersville, NC. She was buried Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at Holy Cross Cemetery on James Island, SC.
