Bobby Emmest Schurlknight, 68, of Alvin, SC, a former supervisor at C.R. Bard, died Friday evening at his residence. His funeral will be 3:00 p.m. Monday afternoon, May 11, 2015, in the CHAPEL OF DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30 p.m. until the hour of service on Monday. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Sunset Memorial Cemetery, PO Box 787, St. Stephen, SC 29479. Mr. Schurlknight was born January 27, 1947, in Kingstree, SC, a son of Leon I. Schurlknight, Sr., and Jessie Cannon Schurlknight. He was a graduate of St. Stephen High School and received his bachelor’s degree from The Citadel. He was a licensed captain and enjoyed fishing and working in his flower garden with his wife. Mr. Schurlknight was also the former owner of the Arrowhead Motel & Campground and was a former employee of Reliable Electric. He was a member of the St. Stephen United Methodist Church and a US Air Force veteran of Vietnam. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Surviving are, his wife, Kathy McElveen Schurlknight; his mother, of St. Stephen; a daughter, Charlene “Charli” Little and her husband, Chad, of Alvin; a son, J.
